Every Web site or online application presents new and unique challenges, but the development process for each project has many general steps in common.
Domain Registration and Webhosting: The first step is to obtain your domain name. If you have not already done so, we will register a domain name and set up a Webhosting account for you.
Initial Setup: We will create a temporary page online to establish your Web presence and let visitors know when your Web site will be available. We will also create a private development area for you on YoungWebDesign.com where you can view design elements for approval and follow the progress of your Web site while it is in development.
Site Plan: Through discussion with you, we will identify your online goals and objectives and develop a design strategy and plan for your Web site. We will determine a design approach, site content, and any navigation, user interactivity or custom programming requirements for your site.
Web Design and Development: We will provide sample design options online for your review and approval. Once the design elements are in place, we will complete the development of your site, including any custom programming and functionality required. You will be able to follow the development of your site online and your input during the design and development process is always welcome and encouraged.
Final Review and Publication: Once the development of your site is complete, you will have the opportunity to review and finalize the site online. Once approved by you, we will publish your site to the Web.
Marketing: Once your site has been published to the Web, we will work with you to finalize an appropriate list of keywords and a site description and then submit your site to the top search engines to increase visibility.
Maintenance: Updating your site content is essential to keep your visitors coming back. We can customize a plan or schedule suited to your needs to keep your Web site fresh and up-to-date. We can also provide you with a set of custom-programmed, browser-based, administrative utilities that would allow you to update your own site online without requiring any knowledge of HTML or other Web or programming languages.
